Foods that Suppress Appetite

Every woman wants to have a perfect body. However, during very strict diets that are low in calories you feel like you are always hungry. But with the right foods you can curb hunger and stop cravings. There are foods that can suppress your appetite whether you are eating them between the main meals, or you include them into your lunch or dinner. These foods are a great source of vitamins and they help you stay in shape.

Many diets prove their efficiency only on short term. Still, there are a few tips and tricks that can help you suppress your appetite. Specialists say that an essential element in every diet is to keep the feeling of fullness for a longer period of time. Eggs, apples, beans or potatoes are just few of those healthy foods that curb your hunger.

Apples
Apples are rich in pectin and appetite-suppressing fiber, which play the role of stabilizing the sugar level in the blood. Moreover, the fiber contained by apples prevent the assimilation of fats into the organism.
Also, high-fiber foods like apples generally require more chewing time, giving your body extra time to register the fact that you're no longer hungry. Apples have a few calories and carbohydrates, but they will fill you up for quite a while, which will stop you from eating more foods high in calories.

Potatoes
Potatoes are your perfect ally when it comes to losing weight due to the fact hat they contain natural resistant starch. This type of starch acts like fiber once it gets in your digestive system. Therefore, they make you feel full for a longer period of time (4 hours), and keep your blood sugar level after a meal. Another important thing is that they may even reduce body fat.

Potatoes make you feel full for 4 hours providing they are properly cooked without fat and sour cream. Potatoes are considered as being the basis of our nourishment as they contain the vitamin B complex, vitamin C, potassium and fiber.

Oatmeal
Oatmeal, once it gets into the stomach, increases its volume 20 times and gives the sensation of satiety. Real oatmeal, not the instant one, is one of the healthiest carbohydrates. Oatmeal enters the bloodstream slowly and keeps you full for a long time due to its low glycemic value and its high fiber content. One bowl of oatmeal consumed daily can reduce cholesterol 8 to 23%. For breakfast or as a snack, a small bowl makes an excellent hunger reducer.

Eggs
Eggs are low in calories and they have the amazing property of making you feel full very rapidly. An egg for breakfast will curb hunger and stop cravings for the entire day. Very rich in proteins, whites are very nourishing. They set sugar absorption into the intestines and suppress the appetite. Try to eat them without the yolks in salads, with yogurt sauce and greens. If you suffer of any chronic disease, you should talk to your doctor before eating eggs.

Fish
Natural source of good fats, fish is an essential element in any balanced diet. When combined with vegetables, it can help you loose weight. Fish is very rich in proteins that are harder to digest. Moreover, it is rich in omega 3 that eliminates sugar from the body and makes place to good proteins. This is why you fell fuller whenever eating fish for lunch or dinner.

Beans
Beans are high in antioxidants and they can be compared with meat when it comes to calories. They can easily take the place of a meat dish. As beans contain fiber and water, you get to feel fuller, faster. Also, since beans are digested slowly, you feel satisfied for a longer period of time. Beyond that, studies have shown that beans play a major role in the fight against cancer, they are beneficial for those suffering of diabetes, and they are also known as helping lower the cholesterol.
